The Silence

There are a lot of sounds that I love...my kid's laughter, my wife's voice, bird's singing in the morning.

But, with three kids, sometimes my favorite sound is silence.

Just pure quiet.

This foggy morning it was so quiet.  As if all of nature was sleeping, sedated by the fog.  I shot my pictures and thoroughly enjoyed the utter lack of noise.  Only the gentle lapping of the lake water against the shore.

It was nice.  Really nice.  A little peace for the soul. 

Until...BLAM! BLAM!  BLAM!  the goose hunters just out of my sight opened fire.  

I am just proud I didn't pee myself.
